Course Goals

Think like a writer

  • Understand the challenges of drafting a novel, whether planning to work as an author, editor, or other publishing professional

  • Learn the smart way to pitch for publication—prioritize manuscript

Speak like a writer

  • Learn how professional vocabulary of the publishing industry applies to the process of writing to prepare for professional conversations with individuals and companies in the publishing industry

BE a writer

  • By the end of this course, you will pitch your first novel, receive editorial feedback, & mentorship advice for planning next steps

Learn by Doing

  • Writers, authors, and editors are assessed by their experience level. By the end of this course, you will have a working knowledge of foundational publishing basics.

  • The course culminates with the capstone project of preparing your manuscript and submitting it to Anistemi Publishing for possible publication

Authors receive lifetime access to the course, so they may choose to complete it at their own pace. It need not be completed within the same year as The Art of Meaning.
